Someone covered those books once, carefully, with a cloth. At some point the cloth slipped, and nobody came back to straighten it. Now a white owl has claimed the whole arrangement as its own, settled on top with the composed authority of a creature that considers itself the natural heir to any collection of old knowledge. Behind it the sky is dark and heavy, the kind of night that makes a lit room feel like the only place worth being.

Academic I is the moodier of the two, all deep shadow and striking white plumage against a brooding sky. It suits a study, a library, a hallway that deserves more than it is currently getting. A companion piece to Academic II, and equally at home on its own.
